Niemand kent dan ook zo goed de geheimen van haver als Quaker.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Voor de oorsprong van Quaker moeten we terug naar de Verenigde Staten van 1850. In die tijd gebruikte men graan en haver vooral als veevoer. Maar drie pientere landbouwers dachten daar anders over. Ze wisten hoe lekker en voedzaam die graanproducten waren.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_row et_pb_row_1\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et_pb_column_1 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et-last-child\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_1 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<p><span class=\"et-dropcap\">V<\/span>andaag de dag wordt het overbekende en overheerlijke Quaker gamma nog steeds met dezelfde onveranderde passie en oog voor kwaliteit geproduceerd. Quaker oogst de haver, wast ze, pelt de korrels en walst ze plat. Meer doet Quaker niet met haver. Hierdoor ontstaat een 100% natuurlijk product dat lekker smaakt en bijdraagt aan een goede gezondheid.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_row et_pb_row_2\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_2 et_pb_column_2 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_image et_pb_image_0\"><strong style=\"color: #333333; font-size: 22px;\">Productie<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_2 et_pb_column_3 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et-last-child\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_2 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<p>Havermout wordt gemaakt door de korrels van het landbouwgewas haver te wassen, te pellen, te verwarmen en ze te walsen zodat ze plat worden. In feite is havermout al lang geleden ontdekt als gezonde en lekkere voeding. Een van de bekendste gerechten op basis van havermout is havermoutpap. Door de havermout in melk of water te koken kun je zelf eenvoudig havermoutpap bereiden. Met snel kokende havermout is dit, zoals het woord het al aangeeft, sneller klaar dan met gewone (lang kokende) havermout.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_row et_pb_row_3\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et_pb_column_4 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et-last-child\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_3 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<p>Het verschil is vooral de dikte van de gewalste korrels. Hoe dunner, hoe sneller de havermout gaar wordt. Snel kokende havermout is dus niet voorgekookt of op een andere manier voorbewerkt dan gewone havermout, het is slechts dunner maar nog steeds 100% natuurlijk. Naast de lang en snel kokende havermout bestaat er ook havermout die vrijwel direct gebruikt kan worden omdat het wel is voorgekookt. Hierdoor kan het direct uit de verpakking worden toegevoegd aan bijvoorbeeld yoghurt en kan je havermout ook lekker koud eten. De havermout van Quaker behoort tot deze soort.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_row et_pb_row_4\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_4_4 et_pb_column_5 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough et-last-child\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_4 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<h3><strong>Voeding<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Haver heeft een gunstige invloed op onze algehele conditie. Het uithoudingsvermogen wordt vergroot, we zijn in staat om grotere inspanningen te leveren en vermoeidheid treedt minder snel op. Deze versterkende eigenschappen van haver worden o.a. benut in situaties van lichamelijke zwakte, zoals na een langdurige ziekte, operaties e.a. Ook bij algehele lusteloosheid kan aan haver gedacht worden. Het is gebleken dat haver makkelijk te verdragen is, de maag niet belast en dat er geen aversie optreedt, ook niet op langere termijn. Van de slijmvormende eigenschappen van haver wordt ook gebruik gemaakt bij bepaalde aandoeningen van het maag-darmstelsel. Met name in gevallen van ontstekingen in dit gebied (gastro-enteritis) zorgt het haverslijm ervoor dat het slijmvlies bedekt wordt met een dun slijmlaagje, waardoor irriterende stoffen (bacteri\u00ebn, gifstoffen, stofwisselingsproducten) het slijmvlies niet verder kunnen be\u00efnvloeden. Alcoholische extracten uit de verse, bloeiende plant staan al lang bekend als mild kalmeringsmiddel.
